If you used to like Baileys before going vegan, you’re going to love our Vegan Irish Cream Liqueur – Homemade Vegan Baileys plant-based version. We have tried recreating this drink ever since we went vegan, but all the recipes we found always tasted too much like coconut. We finally solved it with Oatly Barista oat milk. Our vegan version of the Baileys doesn’t taste like coconut at all. Get ready for the perfect holiday drink!

We used to love Baileys before going vegan so we wanted to recreate a drink that tasted just as nice. We love the new vegan version of Baileys but it has a very different flavour from the traditional one, not having coffee but being vanilla-based. Our Vegan Irish Cream Liqueur – Homemade Vegan Baileys version has coffee, vanilla, coconut cream and a special creamy oat milk (Oatly Barista) which is not as liquid, with a creamier texture making it perfect to make this drink.

  • Refrigerate a can of coconut cream or full-fat coconut milk overnight.
  • In a high-speed blender, combine the Irish whiskey, espresso, vanilla extract, raw sugar, icing sugar, and soy lecithin, and blend until smooth.
  • After blending these, add the Oatly Barista creamy oat milk and coconut cream, and blend again until smooth.
  • Pour the blend into a bottle and refrigerate for several hours.
  • Once cooled, serve into glasses over some ice and enjoy!
