It’s made out of just four ingredients: frozen bananas, rolled oats, vanilla extract, and unprocessed peanut butter.
Frozen bananas are required to get the quick creamy ice cream effect. A high-speed blender is needed in order to handle the blending of frozen bananas. If you do not have one, a food processor could work as well.
If you have never frozen bananas before, here is a quick guide on how to do so:
Wait a few days until the bananas are ripe enough (the more ripe they are, the sweeter the ice cream will become).
- Peel the bananas.
- Cut them in small pieces
- Place them into a freezer-safe container or bag.
- Place the container in the freezer overnight.
