It’s also extremely easy and quick to make, ready in less than 15 minutes! It’s perfect on Vegan Chili Cheese Fries, Vegan mac&cheese, lasagna, pizza, cannelloni, etc. The possibilities are endless!

This recipe is based on a recipe from our cookbook & e-book found in chapter 4 “On the side”. The recipe is called “Gooey Mozzarella Sauce” on page 148, and it is slightly modified. The Best Vegan Cheese Sauce EVER

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cashews
- 1/3 cup refined coconut oil, melted
- 1/2 tsp vegan lactic acid powder
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/4-1/3 cup tapioca flour, depending on how thick you want the sauce to be
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/4-1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 3 cups water
Instructions
- In a high-speed blender, combine the cashews, melted coconut oil, vegan lactic acid powder, nutritional yeast, tapioca flour, sea salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, and water, and blend until very smooth.
- Pour the blend into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer, over medium-high heat, stirring continuously until it thickens.
- Now the cheese sauce is ready to consume along with your favourite dishes. It's perfect on chili cheese fries, on pizza, etc. And it makes the PERFECT vegan mac&cheese. Enjoy this insanely delicious super cheesy gooey vegan cheese sauce!

This cheese sauce is sooooo sooooo good. Yesterday I made some vegan mac and cheese for dinner and it was the best I’ve had in a long time! Will try it on baked potatoes and steamed broccoli tomorrow. Canโt wait. Also made your no meatloaf the other day. It was so delicious too, especially the mushroom sauce.
