In a high-speed blender, combine the cashews and water, and blend until very smooth (no cashew pieces left).
Vegan Green Peppercorn Gravy
Put a small saucepan over medium-high heat, and heat the vegan butter until it's melted. Stir in the flour, and mix well, using a whisk, until a paste has formed.
Now stir in the cashew cream you previously made in the blender, vegetable broth, ginger powder, Japanese soy sauce, dark rum, and green whole peppercorns, and continue stirring with the whisk until it thickens. It will take a few minutes.
